"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior's hand. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them." Psalm 127:3-5

Band Mom

You have heard of the soccer mom.  Well, I have become the band mom.

This is my son Logan and his friend Isaac. Their band is called Technicolor Monster.

When they first started this band early last fall, I didn't really have high expectations.  Don't get me wrong. Logan is talented and so is Isaac, but they are so young.  However, they really seem to be headed somewhere with this band.  They just made it to the semifinals of a local battle of the bands.  We shall see what the future holds.

In the mean time, I am a band mom.  Me. The girl who really isn't into music. The girl who doesn't like concerts. This girl who has doubled the number of concerts she has been to in her life, just in the past few months.  Overall, I have the easy end of the job.  I show up. I bring a soda if it is requested.  I hold things.  I stand at the merch table sometimes.  I listen. And I pray. The other parents do the rest. They are wonderful.
